Question What is making you happy today?

I am no fan of Donald Trump but I would be more than happy to attend a banquet serving McDonald's food.

Maybe we have got this guy wrong?

"Happy" is a push, but instead of starting a new thread, the advances in technology are staggering. You can now buy a 2TB USB memory stick fairly cheaply. I'm old enough to remember 5 1/4" floppy disks with a max capacity of 1.2MB.

Finally had the new three piece suite delivered from Harveys last week. Their Customer Service team is seriously hit and miss and it took five phone calls on my part before I found a helpful one that chased everything up and ensured it turned up this time. they coughed up £350 compensation for the late delivery and a further £115 for very minor damage to the underneath of the settee. On that basis I'm happy, but I doubt we will ever use them again.

My broadband speed. Since the last BT Engineer visit whatever he did has given me a consistent 52 meg download speed over my copper wire telephone line. That may not be fibre speed that some of you get, but it's more than good enough for me. Even though you took over a year and 5 engineers to fix my fault, thank you at last BT.

Meeting a very old friend for a coffee that I haven't seen for about 10 years. We go back something like 40 years to a time where we and lots of other people used to kip in sleeping bags on church hall floors - or, if we were lucky, someone's living room floor - all over the country.

This was when we were part of the Leos, at the time a "young adults" version of Lions Clubs, we worked hard and we played hard - socialising most weekends at a disco or something put on as a fund raiser by a club somewhere. We'd often spend the wee small hours talking and giggling about something or another rather than getting much sleep! We clicked as mates right from the off despite the fact he lived in Staines.

He now lives in Cuba but works as a holiday rep manager in different resorts each season, this year he's covering Tunisia and Morocco but is home for a visit. It'll be great to see him.

Got Red Dead Redemption 2 for £26, brand new off eBay. Finally get to see what all the fuss is about.
