Question What is making you happy today?

Just watched the finish of The Womens Tour on Western Esplanade.

Decent turnout
We walked to the Anne Boleyn r/about and watched them come thru. Very professional, very fast and a tight bunch at that stage.
The accompanying escort motorbikes really did a fantastic job of controlling the rolling road blocks and keeping the route clear.

It's all very clever how the team cars follow behind the Cyclist's, yet keep a distance. I remember the 2012 Olympics and teams coming to Benfleet and Leigh eg to train, it was quite impressive.

Came on to this thread to say something similar. Great to see the Tour of Britain visit my home town and on roads I’ve cycled along. Even passed my old school. Very good turnout as well judging from the ITV4 highlights. A rare well done SBC. Hopefully inspired a few who were complaining about the lack of petrol to take up cleaner, healthier modes of transport!

ps The roads at the start even reminded me of Paris-Roubaix the way they were bouncing the riders about.

Is it me or is this weather a bit freaky, mid October and I'm still wearing shorts (not that I'm complaining) :)

I watched it too, I really enjoyed it. It was a bit odd seeing roads I drive down every day. It's good for the town and as you say, a good turn out.

beers at the Mile & a third - the match (I'll brush over todays result ?) - pitch invasion ( that will probably cost us points - so I'll brush over that as well) - Brown sacked - Stan sticking his oar back in - curry ordered - and best of all an evening following Shrimperzone :LoyalSupporter:
