How many more games will it be before we're mathematically relegated? Cant be arsed to work it out myself.

My calculations say 9 if the gap stays the same. 15 points apart. 46 games in the season.

will either be the home game v Sunderland or Wycombe, irony of one or the other.

Wombles have 30 points from 32. If they average that form for the remainder of the season they's get 41.25 points, (Yes, I know).

We have 16 from 32, so if we win all our remaining games, we'd have 52 points. So effectively 11 points dropped and that's that.

Is that actually relevant? We're down now regardless of maths.

Oh, sorry my mistake. We're not down, because Ron said we won't go down.

Probably mid to late March. You would expect the points gap to get bigger between now and then, so with six or seven games to go seems about right.

The truth will somewhere between these scenarios.

If it all goes according to average points per game over the season for us and the teams around us, we'll get relegated after the game at Ipswich on 4 April.

If we lose every game and the rest go according to average points per game, we'll go bottom of the table after losing to Rotherham on 14 March. And we'll be relegated after losing to Sunderland at home on 28 March. Which would be a saddening contrast to last year...

Then - and this one is obviously the most likely scenario :Smile2: - if we win every game from now on and, and all the others go according to average points per game, we'll be out of the relegation zone after beating Ipswich away on 4 April. And we will be confirmed as safe when we beat Portsmouth at Roots Hall on 18 April.

I can't wait.
