Suffolk Shrimper In Dorset

Was thinking earlier when a Karen Carpenter song came on the radio. That was one lady who I think had a truly wonderful and unique voice. Yes, in many ways when you hear her sing it can make you feel sad even if she is singing a happy song given what happened to her at such a tragically young age. But her voice I think is a one-off, it is so distinct, so rich, so enveloping, that no one has come close (in my view) to delivering in a three minute song such an emotional 'package'.
Outside of song, my favourite speaking voice is Henry Blofeld. I can think of little better way to relax than sitting in a deckchair in a quiet spot by the sea on a warm sunny day with a beer in hand and old Henry's warm tones describing some bus passing by The Oval. Bliss.
So, who is your 'Sean Dyche'? Who do you think has the voice you most like listening to, either singing or speaking wise or both? Paint a picture.
Over to you.
