UNCERTAINTY surrounds who will be managing Southend United at the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final in less than a fortnight’s time.

I really don't mind who does it...One, the other, both of them, neither of them....I've posted elsewhere that I don't really buy all this embarrassing / laughing stock thing. I'm sure it will get sorted one way or another.

The only way it will get embarrassing is if they both lead the team out, then end up having a fight on the pitch over who gets to shake hands first with the guy from Johnstones Paint....even then it might be decent pre match entertainment.

Presume that it's live on Sky?

I can just imagine that if it isn't PS leading the Team then who better to have to provide an expert analysis than PS?

I'm sure the Sky presenters won't mention RM's promise..........much.

Personally I'll find that embarassing and I'm sure that the Sky audience will find it pretty laughable.

Whilst I disagree with what RM promised and personally believe that it should have been a clean break, I just don't see how he can go back on his promise and still look credible.

Agreed. But he lost any credibility many years ago!

And if PB does take charge, you know what the story will be already...

Phil Brown is the manager, Sturrock is out, tough luck on Sturrock, but, thats football, couldnt bear to think that at Wembley live on SKY they could another Wimbledon, Plymouth type performance.

if they want some sentiment, have some of supporters do a video teamtalk & show that to the players in the dressing room, we could show more passion, fight & motivation than Sturrock or Brown could ever dream of about what Wembley means to us, the lifeblood of Southend who have been around forever, the fans!!!!!
