We've had a few Leons at Roots Hall over the years. But who was the best?

Clarke - brilliant debut goal against Gillingham and plenty more followed, but got sent off at Forest and then got bored

Constantine - scored the goals that helped keep us out of the Conference, left under a cloud following a pay dispute

Cort - defensive stalwart, once scored a hat-trick against Boston, now (I think) the only ex-Shrimper plying his trade in the top flight

Johnson - erm, had a good game at Orient in 2001.

Always had a bit of a soft spot for Constantine myself, spindliest legs ever in football! Though obviously Cort is doing much better for himself.

Is there any doubt? Leon Cort, currently representin' SUFC in the Premier League.

Cort, surely not many [ex]Shrimpers have played in all 4 divisions of English football before!

Good question.....Id put forward Peter Butler, Chris Powell, Spencer Prior and Dean Austin as suggestions.

Dont forget this man !!
