Trialing with Wealdstone

30/7/2009

On Tuesday night, the Stones eased to a 4-2 win at Hanwell Town. Again triallists were amongst the goals including Jamie Osborne and Ben Abbey, who scored two, including a penalty. Ryan Ashe also scored from the spot.

Former Oxford United and Southend United man Abbey, 31, is exactly the sort of experienced striker Bartlett is seeking and, while he is far from prolific, could be the perfect foil for Ngoyi.

and he scored again!

Monday 3rd August 2009

Wealdstone continued their impressive pre-season form with a convincing 3-0 win at Potters Bar on Saturday.

Experienced striker Ben Abbey rounded the goalkeeper for the opening goal before Ben Alexander added the second with a terrific strike.

Abbey grabbed his second of the game early on in the second half as the Stones eased to their fourth win in a row.
