i was reading on hear that eastwood said that he has been in talks with uncle Ron about singing .I was under the impression that Paul sturrock did the deals for player :unsure:

The manager (whoever it has been) has never really had the prominent role in negotiations whilst RM has been chairman.

That's the case at all clubs IMO. The manager may want a certain player but the Chief Executive / Chairman whoever will have to sign off on the finer points of the players contract and also pay anything due to the players agent.

Could be an interesting duet - Martin and Eastwood or Freddy and Ron ..... perhaps "FredRon - the musical!" Cliffs Pavillion sold out, live performances at Roots Hall, national tour being proposed, SUFC match days moved to accomodate shows up and down the country ...... oh, I can see it now ............ shame there is no Top of the Pops for a special TV appearance ...........
