Who's it going to be?

Another day, another rumour. Hopefully it’ll get sorted, whatever Ron is waiting for will materialise and then we can start looking forward to a bouncing RH on Saturday.

In fairness Barrett was already first-team coach at Millwall so number 2 isn’t that much of a step-up anyway. I’d be truly staggered if he rejected the top job at Southend for a number 2 role at the Den....
As I have said before don't disagree but I look at all possibilities. I also look at what other coaches have said when they become a number 1 or 2, and a lot say it is completely different as the relationship changes with the players etc. so while similar not identical

Looks like it’s Sol.
To be honest I’m happy with the appointment. He did a fantastic job at Macclesfield in similar situation.

And lets face it, The New Den is full of number twos (alledgedly).

An I right in thinking he took 36points from 30 games at Macclesfield?
Won 8 drew 12 and lost 10?
Not a bad record considering where Macc where when he took over.... but that points haul wouldn't be enough to keep us up this season.

As I stated last week, the players have been told it would be Sol weeks ago.

There is no way. Firstly I have heard from a players parent that they were in the dark this week and were still speculating. Secondly there is no way this would be known and the odds would have stayed at 20/1 last week
