Question Why don't you go away?

What puts you off travelling to away games?

Often working and i cannot justify spending around 1 hundred quid to watch a game of football.

My excuse/reason is family, which equals time & money.

I'm looking forward to the day when my kids ask to go to away matches though. I get to to go to the games and my missus has a day off - everyone's happy in theory.

What ages did everyone else's kids first ask, and did they enjoy the experience more or less than home games?

You don't wait for them to ask, you just take them.
Took my son to his first away game at the age of 6, he is now 11 and has been to about 40 away games.

Hmm, not convinced - tried that with the home games when they were barely out of nappies and as a result they don't now want to go as they think it is boring. To be fair a. it probably was and b. 2 hours is a long time to have to sit still for any kid, yet alone those under 5. In the good old days of terracing at least you could muck about with the other kids if the game lacked interest.
