Smith, White, Thompson, Barrett (c), Coker, Worrall, Deegan, Leonard, Atkinson, McQueen, Barnett.
SUBS | Bentley, Mooney, Payne, Hurst, McLaughlin, Kamara, Malarczyk.

Well done Brown! Finally giving Smith a go.

I wonder if there is a chance of us keeping McQueen.

Payne benched and Barnett given a start!

So it's 4-5-1 again! :dim:

* awaits 3-1 victory! *

Moose misses out again.

Would like to see Payne get some pitch time.

4-3-3 formation.

The pitch looks in excellent condition

What's the point if he isn't going to sign a new contract. With only a few games left and having to prepare for next season anyone who isn't part of next years plans shouldn't play. Bentley and Payne are obviously off so no point playing them.

Barnett seems to getting some stick recently. A few fans were having a go at him last week at Walsall. I just don't get it. The big man looked totally fed up chasing long hopeful balls. He also needs some support, but with Brown always playing one up front it's just not happening.

Fair point, but Im happy he didnt start, just want him to come on as an impact sub against tired legs.

Im really hoping young Ted has a blinding performance today and keeps a clean sheet, as a 2 fingers up to Dan and Phil etc for keeping him waiting so long for some pitch time.

Not sure on that one.

Think you should play the best team for every match and deal with the rest later.

McQueen is starting. Who is to say he'll be here next season.

Or PB himself come to think of it.

I get the impression that McQueen will be kept by Southampton but reckon we might get him on loan again. Think there is a very good player there, he looks very much a Southampton youth product with his technical ability.
Think Payne is on his way :'(

Maybe there is a chance of us having him next season whether on loan or perm.

Mid-table , safe, send home loanees who are not part of next season's plan, blood some young home-grown talent and make an appraisal during the close season....simples eh

Possibly, but there's no 100% guarantees about Jack Payne leaving.

Nothing is settled and there could even be a new manager here in a month's time.

I can see the point, to a degree, but if that was the plan, why not have done that 3 games ago.

I think it's the right call to play Ted, and rest Bentley and Payne. The planning for next season starts now, and if they don't want to be part of it, they can sit out.

Good luck, Ted !!

Which, obviously Brown won't be able to do just yet.
