Is anyone fed up with Paul Jewell blaming the ref for the defeat at the Emirates? Why not blame his star player Emile Heskey. Heskey earns probably 10 times more than Dowd but missed two simple chances to put his team 2 up, but instead Jewell slags off the ref. Wouldnt it have been refreshing to see Jewell storm on the pitch and start wagging his finger at the ex england lump of lard instead.

Absolutely agree. Heskey chose to go down, so if Jewell wants to blame anyone he can start there. Also, when Heskey slips his shot past Lehman, he wheels off to start celebrating. If he'd followed it in, or even just stayed still, he'd have been there for the rebound.

He really is a useless sack of **** ,that bloke.

Are you blind or just dumb? I watched that game and Wigan played very well and with some excellent football and i have never seen a team match ****nal like that at the Emirates, only for the ref to cheat them out of 3 points Jewell was spot on and its Dowd that needs punishment not Jewell. If say we got Dowd and he lsot us 3 points and we went down by 2 we wouldn't complain of course we would!

Thanks for that, I like to think neither.
My point is the manager blames the ref for making two mistakes that were clarified under close scrutiny of several TV cameras. If that particular game, in his interpretation causes his team to be relegated, maybe he should blame his record signing who also made two simple mistakes and is paid far more than Dowd is to do his job.

They lost because Heskey missed two fairly simple chances that most £8 million players would have tucked away and although Flamini touched his shoulder, a 15 stone bruiser like that should have stayed up and had a shot instead of throwing himself to the ground.
