Flavs 6 two high claims, one good low stop, good distribution apart from 2 wayward ones, just seen goal again and unstopable!
Hammel 6 ok at times, not so good others
Hunt 4 looks a very weak link as soon as he's up against anyone decent, totally shown up for the JCR goal
Barrett 6 not bad but beginning to think Col U's valuation was over the top
Clarke 6 same as Barrett but still not as assured as the first half of season
Macca 4 shadow of his former self, starting to play backwards and sideways like Maher but knowhere near as well
Bailey 6 once again bit anonymous, thought him and macca were going to strike up a driving midfield partnership but now looking a bit tame
Gower 6 need him to tick for us to progress but far too in and out
Francis 6 hot and cold, looks great at times and complacent others
Hoops 5 great potential but just don't get involved when given a chance hence always gets taken off
Black 7 lively and our most dangerous, could be the partner for Barnard
Barnard 6 looks potentially decent, good movement, touch and vision, will he get any supply though?

Certainly by a goalkeeper who is vertically challenged.

Just a humble fan of Wiggy to be honest, probably the third most melodramatic poster on here, after yours truly...

Actually Wiggles, can't argue with anything you've written there.

Especially with Hooper. Even putting talent aside, you could see a marked difference in attitudes between Hooper and Barnard when they swapped. Time will tell if he'll keep up his level of urgency and willingness to chase lost causes, but the Tottenham fans always said it was a part of his game.

I thought hammell was better than the mark you gave him. looked very comfortable in defense.

Thought all the ratings are b*ll*cks players on the pitch did a good job, created chances, defended well etc....problem is the people who should be rated are Tilly, Brush and Ron...the players on the pitch are all we have! If nothing happens in the next 7 days they are the players we have for the rest of the season and we may find ourselves in a relegation battle forget the playoffs. We have no depth, no way of changing the patterns, no way of defending against sides with a six foot plus centre forward. Our midfielders cannot commit to getting forward as there is no one to hold it up like Clarke did. Remember the goals and chances he set up for McCormack running through on lay offs, they cannot do that now because we have no big striker who can do that.

I think we deserved a draw tonight as their goalie was outstanding but we are looking very very shallow in the depth of the squad

Come on the Blues

Matt Harrold does exactly that, and should be back soon. This isn't to disagree with the point of the post though, we need more bodies especially a big experienced defender.

Surprise surprise - personally me and the guy next to me (East Blacks back row if you are a poster on here!) both thought that Hunt initially did well to shepherd JCR into a safe position but then let him go!! We were also in strong agreement over keeper error, it was pretty clear from our position right behind the shot. We've got a big problem at the moment, we have 2 very different goalkeepers who for different reasons don't measure up, Tilly needs to be brave and sign a new one this summer.......

If you were sat in line with the shot you will have seen Joey Deacon would have saved it. It was a poor effort by Flavs, as AD is quite right in pointing out. That said Hunt was awful in how he didn't shut JCR down!

I was in East Greens behind the shot and thought Flavs could have done better after Hunt said "after you" to JCR but after seeing the tv clip (earlier post) Daryl was blameless.

Agree, the route of our attacking proplems,is the forwards cant seem to hold the ball up long enough,to let Bailey and Macca join the attack. We badly miss Clarke. Defending, better last night, but there is still a proplem back there, and has been all season.

A little harsh on Lewis Hunt, he was never going to keep up with JCR in the pace race was he? JCR switched flanks as he used to for us, he knew he had the beating of Hunt rather than Hammell. FWIW I think it was the only time he got past Hunt, and this was really the only thing Hunt did wrong in the match.

For me, our worst two last night were Macca and Francis in the first half although having said that, it was obvious the ref had it in for Macca from the start. Second half was a different story, stats say it all 59% possession, we should've got something out of it really. MOM? I'd say Tommy Black, gutsy and determined and looking a different player up front, although I thought Barrett and Clarke had a much improved game too.
