Windows 11 is currently downloading on my laptop. Anyone got it yet, and what is there to look out for?

Have you checked that your CPU is compatible?
Microsoft have a Free program to download and check.
Windows 11 requires MTP Media Transfer Protocol. Lots of info on this on Youtube.

Naively I took the word of M/S when it told me my laptop was compatible. It's just started installing after the download, so I should soon find out. Thanks for the heads up.

How did it go.

I'll probably wait until after the all the media articles of people complaining that the upgrade has frozen their pc!

Eventually it went ok. Whilst it was downloading it was so slow (or it seemed so), but once downloaded and installed, Windows update kicked in with two further updates to it which was quite processor hungry and I wasn't expecting that, so I couldn't understand the slow response times. After that it was normal Windows update mayhem, icons everywhere but where they used to be. Now my laptop is as good as gold and working ok. Good luck.

Well done ,Pioneer?

I don't have a TPM enabled processor so I don't think I'll be able to get it directly, I'm sure there will be a way around it though.

Downloaded and installed without any issues. Didn't have any idea about the whether the CPU was compatible not, I guess it was as it has been working for a week or so now.
