Women's World Cup sweepstake

As NZ have beaten England in a warm up friendly this afternoon, I don't feel quite so downbeat about them being my chosen sweepstake team.

Now NZ haven't picked up a point yet its back to downbeat mode for me I think.

So, three of the Semi Finalists, England, USA & Holland, are now known with either Germany or Sweden yet to join them after this evening's game. Thus these 5 lucky Zoners are still in with a chance of picking up the prize money.

Leaving aside some of the VAR issues and some debatable refereeing decisions I reckon this World Cup has been a great advert for the Womens game with some very good football on display. Still a way to go but this is probably the most successful WWC Tournament so far, and certainly the most watched world wide.

The majority of WWC games I've seen have been far superior to most prem games I watched last season in terms of entertainment.

It's a shame that after this weekend, the women's game will largely get forgotten about for another 4 years
