Women's World T20

Great win for the ladies last night

Was down the gym and saw Aussie innings, was so impressed with the W.Indies fielding, most men teams could take note

Super impressed with Healy opener the batting reminds me of Gilly when he opened and scared the bowlers with his hitting, didnot think Aussie was much the W.Indies seemed to be nervous when batting and perhaps the home crowd got them

But England v Aussie in a cricket final can you ask for anything else

Blimey Andy just saw time of your post, did you stay up or no work Friday !!!

Great effort

I woke up in the middle of the night and checked the score on my mobile phone, to be truthful.

Have recorded the highlights to watch later, but a great win.

Agreed, yes she's a quality cricketer. Married to Mitchell Starc, by the way and is the niece of Ian Healy. She is a very good keeper, as well.

The Aussies have a really good bowling attack and top order batters like Healy, Mooney, Lanning and Vellani that have some quality.

Could be a great final.

Shame it's at midnight!

Didn't know that re marriage and family ties, obviously paying dividends

Standard very high in T20, the lower teams will get stronger as years go on, especially as they are investing heavy in grass roots, was good to see a good crowd turn up for double header

Should not say it, but its ours to lose, though the England v Aussie rivalry will stir the Ozzie blood

England won the toss, and elected to bat first.

It was a mixed bag really, we made 105 all out...which is clearly not enough,

Being an evening fixture, the outfield is very slippery and the ball is like a bar of soap, and will only get worse as the evening progresses.

To be honest, lady luck was on our side a bit, Aussies made some major dropped catches, and a few bad reviews, we could have easily been out for about 85-90 in hindsight. yet on the flip side, we made some stupid shots high into the outfield in the hope of a 6, and not to mention the some of our silly run outs.

Well, lets see, what happens, but im currently not holding much hope.

Australia "Sheilla's" need just 13 runs from 42 balls.

Sadly it's written on the wall.

Luckily we did a right number on their blokes yesterday in the Rugby at Twickenham, just to balance it out a bit.

It’s seems we made the wrong call on batting first , very poor fielding by Aussie made our score look good
Beaten by better team on the day no complaints and a great tournament to watch well done Lionesses

Just about to watch the highlights, but that was my thought as well.

Why bat first when we won batting second against India and lost batting first against the Windies.

The wickets out there have been difficult to force the pace on, hence the low scores, so we should have let them set the target and make them take the risks.

That said, they are a very good side and though we are, as well, a few players didn't quite perform and we obviously had Taylor and Brunt missing from our usual full strength team.

Great effort, though, by us.

Finally got around to watching the final.

The dew didn't help us, which makes the decision to bat first even more bizarre.

Australia bowled and batted better. Deserved winners.

Apparently the next 20-20 World Cup is in 2020!
