Having been selected to represent the BDF in the IFC, an Inter-Fed tournament contested between 5 federations I was a bit concerned when I came up against a very useful looking PM trainer away in Germany.

As expected he beat me in midfield but in a rare victory for the defence trainer my superior defence seemed to make the difference and we triumphed 3-2. Two games played and the BDF are up 2-0, they're happy with me!

New records for me of 42.5 stars and 163 hatstats. Not bad for a team created just over a year ago, roll on PM training in a seasons time.

At Anilin Arena, 2368 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Lumpenhafen had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Hasselen - Marl, Florys, Schindler - Glumcher, Shelton, Mares, Villanueva, Katzenhuber - Colskog, Christanda.

SZFC had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Jochumsen - Stougaard, Dielis, Vangsnes - Mirzejewski, Kohout, Olmo, van Grunsven, Overlack - Nyathi, Skogstedt.

A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area, but at last SZFC´s Espen Stougaard was able to shove the ball in. 0-1. Berta Putra Christanda pulled a real crowd pleaser as he, in the 4th minute, wove through the guests whole central defense line and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. 17 minutes into the game a free kick combination hooked into the box almost resulted in the home team taking the lead, but the last header went wide. In the 20th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Pontus Skogstedt put the ball away for 1 - 2. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 2. Lumpenhafen held the ball, with a clear 56 percent possession rate.

The game had been on for 59 minutes when Pontus Skogstedt broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. SZFC´s were up 1 - 3. SZFC´s Hareaipha Nyathi made it through the home teams defence in the 77th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when Earl Shelton, after a brilliant midfield combination, put the reducing 2 - 3 goal away for Lumpenhafen. Lumpenhafen held the ball, with a clear 55 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Lumpenhafen player was without a doubt Santiago Villanueva. However, Helge Marl made a disastrous appearance. SZFC's best player was Espen Stougaard. Pontus Skogstedt on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.

Nice one, Mr. B - though, presumably, now that England has a Level VII, you're no longer in the "bottom division" as such for the purposes of the BDF...

Possibly, though with over 100 members capable of hitting over 200 hatstats the 'bottom' bit really has become more of a name! You should all check it out, a very useful source of info and assistance.
