In a world of my own.
We have agreed to take a young girl on work experience in April. Got to say not overly keen on it as you normally end up telling some ****ty kid about your job while they sit there staring into space for two weeks.

What was your work experience?

I did three weeks ar Barclays Bank. Nothing really to report but I loved it. Had a well saucy bird called Nina to sit with and spent all day looking down her top which at 14 was fantastic.

i technically did 3 lots of work experience.. the first was at a recording studio (nightfly, just around the corner from RH), did nothing more than send faxes, make sandwiches and coffee and play solitare. the one time i did any help in the control room I was helping a guy who had less of a clue than me!

2nd time was before i did my degree, i did 2 weeks up at Cantor Index spread betting company, which was a right laugh and got paid a bit as my dads mate was then the MD

3rd time was at the end of last summer, where i did work experience/academic placement at national institute of health and clinical excellence (NICE), which was a quality summer but i was extremely skint as it was completely unpaid and i had to commute for 2 months!

Did 6 months out in Belgium for work experience at uni - at a research centre for ceramics etc. Was designing software for their tests...also, like dts, had a well nice french bird sharing my office - was always a pleasure going to work and doing the whole 2 kisses on the cheek thing every morning :D

Lived with 9 Greek Girls also - bit mad - had my nose broken playing footie out there for the work team too - would go back and do it all again tomorrow if i could

2 weeks with Southend United football in the community. Was quality and as it was november there wasn't a lot going on so half the time got to go home at lunchtime.

Trident fcuked mine up, I wanted to work in a kitchen of a resteraunt (The Quays in Festival Leisure) I was told on the friday before my workexperience that they were full and they gave me a spot in a kitchen in a local senior school (Chalvedon) which I didn't want to do, so I worked in my old primary school where my mum works. Half days and only a week due to Half term was great, I was told that because I changed placements I had to pay 25 pound for an official certificate, I refused and got given the certificate later.

I've done quite a lot of work experience actually. In 1993, despite applying for every local newspaper going, the organisers decided to stick some clueless, dappy ****s who couldn't spell 'journalist' in there instead. I got stuck with A-Z Supplies in Chelmsford and, to be fair, it taught me a lot. Top of the list of things it taught me was that I never, ever wanted to work in A-Z Supplies.

Since then I've whored myself, free of charge, to the incredibly dull magazine Cable & Networking Monthly, the not-as-interesting-as-you'd-think Talk Sport and the 'sit over there and don't touch anything' week that I spent at World Soccer.

Top of the list, however, was two weeks at Loaded in 1998 where I was immediately installed as 'Head of Porn'

Anyone remember the feature 'Pornalikes'? I will never recover from the shock of seeiong Mo Mowlam, it really was startlingly realistic.

I never turned up for mine.. i had 3 weeks off.. fantastic

Two weeks on the Sports Desk at Reuters. Oh. Yes. Eat my journalistic work experience-related dust, Slipper :D.

Do It all when I was at school cos I left it too late to get anything decent.

Estuary Computers one year when I was at College and Union Bank of Switzerland the other year!

Spent three weeks at Club Woodham, which is a gym. First week worked on reception, 2nd week worked with the handyman, and 3rd week worked in the gym.

Spent a lot of time sharing a fit women. Happy days. Also, had two days off during it to go to Holland to play in a football tournement.

2 weeks on soaplife magazine. Just last week was work shadowing the editor of Chat magazine and was roped in by NUTS to help with some analysis. I loved it.
