What shoes do you wear to work?

I work in an investment bank with a buisness casual dress code.

I wear Clarks desert boots in brown leather. As well as being casual I find the crepe soles allow me to move around in silence ensuring the element of surprise is always with me.

I seem to work my way through the Next range. I'm currently sporting some nice little black slip ons.... :winking:

adidas gazelles or converses. If dressing up for a meeting, gucci horsebit, prada or churchs

I have a couple of pairs of proper black shoes, but I choose to wear a pair of Timberland boots, especially when it's as wet as it is at the moment.

In summer I wear deck shoes.

I've got some Timberlands which I used to wear but the soles have worn out really quickly. I was really disappointed actually because they cost a lot.

Has anyone got a tip for where to get Timberlands resoled? The quotes I've had are all over £60.

It might be cheaper to buy some strap on roller skate trucks and use them for commuting.

Wow. These boots have lasted me about 10 years, and only now are the soles slightly worn on the heals. I'd be really tempted to take them back if you've got the receipt...

Interesting. Such a shame. I didn't read all the reviews, but they do seem to be quite old. I wonder if the issue has been sorted out? I certainly hope so. When I come to replace them I don't want to spend a lot of money and have them wear out so quickly.

I don't think they make them any more. I got them 2 years ago, they had worn out last winter and barely worn since. They had some hippy 'eco sole' which didn't seem to be great.

Never mind, you live and learn, and maybe at some point I'll resole them when i have the time and spare cash.

Blakeys....sorted.

Nike White trainers, I go through about 4 pairs a year, but they are comfortable and I hardly wear anything else.
