I see Pearson at Hull is considering reinstating Brown as manager for next season as he's only on gardening leave and it would be a cheaper option than terminating his contract and getting someone else in.

However, if you were in Brown's postion, would you go back? To be shipped out as your chairman believes that Iain Dowie has a better chance of keeping the team in the Premier League must be a pretty harsh kick in the teeth. Throw in the fact that Hull are in a complete financial mess doesn't exactly make it too appealing!

But a job's a job I guess.

Even in his time away, Brown has ensured that his face still matches Hull's kit so there must be some mileage in this.

I guess them not being able to afford his compensation will dictate this more than their confidence in his managerial prowess.

Yeah thats probably true ESB Hull are skint, their chairman reckons they have to reduce the wage bill from £35 mill+ to £15 mill. Wont be easy as none of their high earners have relegation reductions in their contracts (ring a bell?) and who will want to buy donkeys like Altidore??

Altidore is on loan from villarreal so they wont need to do that hard task of selling him :D.

Cant see Phil Brown going back but anyone is better then Dowie.
