How about this for a solution? Have a 12 yard box, at a corner all defenders must be in the 6 yard box, all attackers outside the 12 yard box until the corner is taken.

Or the referee's grow a set and issue a couple of yellow cards for the first occurrence in a game.......

Surely if all the defenders have to stay in the 6 yard box you could just put a striker about 20 yards out and pass directly to him from the corner. Then he's got a free shot at goal with the opposition defenders all about 10 yards away from him. Every corner would turn into a free kick.

Just give a foul for it. It drives me as mad as anything at football. Not because I have a problem with it as such but because football is so nearly a non-contact sport now and the slightest thing is given as a foul - unless you wrestle someone to the ground then it's fine. Weird

Mitrovich was absolutely taken down by two defenders today. The issue isn't a need for gimmicks, the law just needs to be enforced. The officials need to either not bottle it and give the decisions or never give the decisions and accept it being a rugby/football hybrid. The worst is what we have at the moment where everything is a foul except players being bear-hugged to the floor which is called up about 1% of the time

That was the most obvious example ever! If that incident were in the centre circle, there'd be a free kick. So why not in the box?
Feeble from the officials. (If you didn't see it, two defenders bear-hugged Mitrovich, one defender wasn't even facing the ball!).
