Scott Fitzgerald fired Brentford into the League One play-off places but condemned Wrexham to relegation. A sixth-minute Eddie Hutchinson own goal from Darren Ferguson's corner gave Wrexham hope of securing the win they needed to keep their fight alive. Wrexham had enough chances to double their lead before Isaiah Rankin headed in the equaliser after 68 minutes. Fitzgerald struck in injury time with a low shot from 20 yards to snatch a win that lifts his side up to fifth place.
