So he hasn't scored a goal but has plenty of assists. He is hardly lightweight. Strong as an Ox and isn't easily pushed off the ball. By far our best midfielder and is just going to get better and better

That's right - he's got more assists than I realised, and he's been very close to scoring on more than one occasion (Rotherham at home springs to mind).

With regards to being too lightweight? FFS - he's built like a middleweight boxer and I've seen more fat on a butcher's pencil. Decent turn of pace too, he drives forward well.

However - he's still young and would be better served staying with us for at least a couple more seasons. Ironically though, with Kyps, Elvis, Wabo etc. coming through as well, he may think I'd rather stay and play with the lads I grew up with. A sort of Southend version of the Class of 92.

But with better accents.

Been forced to withdraw due to injury. Gutted for him, hope he’s back fit and ready for pre-season after a good break.
