Your best vehicle

Not a huge car fan. As OBL said, they are a functional thing.

BTW, this is the only time your likely see the front of one of my bikes though :Stunned:

Love bikes and was gutted I sold mine. I will get another one soon though.

Here’s a pic of my old one.

This is meant to be cars.......................................Oh go on then. My Malaguti Cavalcone.

I started with my worst ever car, a Triumph Herald, cheap and cheerful, but all I could afford. The young ladies hated it. Went onto a Ford Capri, not bad with a bit of style. But like most Fords in those days, trouble starting on a cold morning and engine trouble. But went on to my Lady magnet, and my favourite ever car. Toyota Celica 1600 with cream seats and interior. A thing of beauty. This colour.

Started with an FS1E when I was 16

My first car was a Herald. It cost £50 and went halves with my sister so I could learn to drive. Me and her boyfriend hand painted it red, with a white Starsky and Hutch stripe down the side,

When I passed my test I splashed out on a Mk2 Cortina 1600E. Had some great times in that car. Going clubbing around Essex with the lads was like something out of Saturday night Fever.

Top car the 1600E. I had a 1300 sport Mk1 escort then the 1600E. Had a BMW 2002 Tii for a while and several classic fords including a MK1 Savage Capri, a 280 Brooklands Capri and a Mk2 Mexico.
Also had some right bangers. Rover Sdi, MK2 Granada and really scraped the barrel with a Princess. OH The joys of hydrolastic suspension.

Had this as well for 5 years. Only pic I ever took of it over colony lakes before the changes.

Bought one of these from Warburtons in 1987 and kept in until late 2016. After I decided to stop riding due to too many strokes and subsequent balance problems, I gave it to my brother who is going to restore it to full retro as I had put a 'barn door' fairing on it. I know it's only a bike but I do miss it.

The Japanese put most to shame with their cars and motor bikes. They just seem to last forever and reliability at it's best. I currently drive a Mazda 3 TS2 Saloon. Had it since 2005. Never not started even in the coldest weather. Never broke down. Hardly replaced anything mechanical on it as the parts really last as well. And still keeps passing it's MOT. Just brilliantly made.

There have been a few vehicles that i certainly now wish I had kept, my FS1E, NVW15P purchased new in 1976 from Browns of Cookoo Corner, my red Suzuki TS185E, my Mk III 2000E, than the Ford Capri mk3 3000Ghia (none on road now) , strangely also my "mortgage" car which was a hand painted Hillman Imp that was GREAT fun, especially in snow.
New vehicles have lots of bling etc but not the same grip on the heart.

Ha ha the old Imp (I had a Stiletto). Also had a fizzy and I agree, boy do I wish I had kept that. Fetch really good money now. The 2002 BMW would be worth quite a bit now. Another car I should have kept

The Imp had to be kept topped up with water every week, the seats really made occupant sweat, the rear hatch window was advanced styling. I can't remember seeing one for ten years or more. Great mpg and mine was ultra reliable. I bought it for 100 quid and sold it 2 years later for 150.

Yup water leaks were the norm. As was the efforts to try and roll them in corners LOL

Probably my current mobile command unit, a 1600 TDi VW Touran.

I get a car allowance from work which would probably lease something quite nice but I would rather spend it on holidays with the family. I am not that bothered about cars.

So difficult to narrow it down. I have truly loved a fair few of my cars and they had their own great attributes

Mk1 Golf Gti
Mk 1 Scirocco Storm
Lancia Trevi
Alfa Romeo 156
Mazda MX5
Current ride - Honda CRZ
