Kind of picks itself doesn't it?

Darryl

McCormack Bailey Maher

Leon

Darryl beats Collis at shot stopping, and his Draculaic aversion to crosses won't be an obstacle here. With Macca, Bailey and Maher we have a creative midfield that also knows how to tackle. Leon then provides strength up front to bring the midfielders into play as well as tuck the ball away himself.

I thought about putting in Gower, but as creative as he is for us on the Roots Hall pitch, I'd say that he doesn't release the ball quick enough for the five-a-side game...

Flahavan (gk), Barrett, Maher, Bailey, MacDonald

Not that we've seen it but I reckon MacDonald would have the poacher's touch to make him an instant inclusion. Maher could probably make a living out of playing five-a-side, Barrett would contribute with goals by steppign out from the back, Bailey's quality and Flavs' lack of height would make him better.

Wouldn't play with a formation as it leaves you wide open to a forward run from a defender.

Five-a-side is all about pace & stamina, and the ability to pass. I reckon that little quintet should do the trick.
