Explosion in car park at SEEVIC

Reports of an explosion and car fire at SEEVIC earlier this evening and a body having been recovered from the car. Shocking news, thoughts are with all those affected - and there would have been a lot of students and staff still there at the time, and people using the swimming pool and at the council offices alongside.

How strange. We had a car fire just opposite last night also. My wife videoed it on her iPad.

Just heard on the radio it's not being treated as suspicious. Sounds like suicide then!

Still very traumatic for anyone at the college/swimming pool who had to witness that.

Not really. There's a car, with no-one in it on fire. She filmed the fire engine turning up.

My sons a student there, the car pulled up, five mins later it was ablaze, being treated as a suicide.

Surely a hose from the exhaust is a much less painful way to commit suicide

Surely a drink and overdose is a much less painful way to commit suicide? This follows on from the old boy who drove his mobility scooter to the lake at Kings Club on Canvey and then got himself into the water as, apparently, he couldn't cope since his wife had recently died. Just can't comprehend how people can choose such a way to go.
