Just amusing myself looking at the L2 table to see how some of the competition are doing, and although we're only 8 games in its surprising to see how some of the pre-season favourites have not started too well. Only one really justifying the hype is Bury in 2nd. Other than that its a sorry list:
Portsmouth - best of the rest in 9th but looking fairly ordinary
Plymouth - 13th
Tranmere - 15th - came down last year & would have expected to bounce straight back
Luton - 18th - really thought they'd have the momentum to be challenging at the top
Oxford - 22nd
Carlisle - 24th - another one down from last year & a real surprise they're doing so badly
Just shows how hard it is to predict the lower leagues, which is why to me its so much more interesting than the sterile world of the utterly predictable premier league.
