I've just had an email from a colleague called Colin Kong. What a magnificent monicker. And it got me thinking about other well-named people I have worked with over the years. They include

Herbert Paradis
Sylbert Lobo
Sittiporn Suwankumpoo (preferred to be known as 'Mark')

ShrimperZone, it's over to you...

When I worked at nPower, on the e-mail list was Pampapathay Hadapada who must have more 'a's in his/her name than most.

I used to work for Morgan Stanley.

There was an employee named Morgan Stanley.

I used to work for Morgan Stanley (years ago). We spent a lot of time going through the corporate directory finding odd names. The only one that I can remember now is Amy Handwerker.

When I did my accountant exams there was a guy on the course called Adam West.

Michael Jackson and Steven Hawking were at the refinery as well as Albert Hall.

Also in the same department were Mr. Marsh and Mr. Mallows!

Also equipment made by Wayne Kerr.

Ha! I can remember as a (primary school) kid, a favourite game for myself and a couple of friends was to ring up people with strange sounding names in the phone book and see how long we could keep them talking.Sadly can't remeber any of those odd names now.:cricko:

I was present when two of my brothers were discussing a meeting they were having in the afternoon with Roger. I knew most of the people that they dealt with in their line of work, but couldn't recall a Roger, so I casually asked

"What's his last name?"

"Ing".

I waited for them to start giggling, and I did say "Are you serious?" but not only were they serious, it had escaped their notice that they were about to meet with a man called "Rogering".

Standing on the North bank many years ago , I asked where John was, Harry told me that that he was getting married , I replied that I didn't even know he was engaged , to which the response was "He has been with Annette for years" . When I burst out laughing, every one asked what the matter was ? I managed to splutter out " Annette...John Kurten is marrying Annette ..." it would appear that many had not realised.

My Mum assures me that Annette didn't have any idea either until a friend mentioned how funny her new name would be!
