He's been in pretty good form so far this season, bagging 10 goals in all competitions, but has been ruled out injured for the next 4 - 6 weeks with a calf injury, so (hopefully, as we know our ex strikers love scoring against us) should be ruled out for when we meet Northampton on February 18th.

He clearly wasn't going to stay at the Cobblers.

When he scored their third against us, instead of celebrating normally, he ran over to Hasselbaink and mouthed off at him something rotten. He appeared to be suggesting politely (!) that he should have been playing from the start.

JFH wasn't impressed

Van Veen will be an upgrade in skill but a downgrade in effort. He has a definite tendency to laze about.
