Six games to go to save our season, the first of which is back at "Fortress Roots Hall" against a Crawley Town side whose current form looks as bad as ours was when we drew 1-1 back at their place last October.
The time for excuses is over, we need to put Crawley to the sword on Saturday - no ifs, not buts - the games are running out and we need to close the gap on Colchester and Barrow before we play them to give ourselves a fighting chance of avoiding the drop.
Despite the starting XI on Tuesday having no recognised strikers in it, the performance in the first half at least was battling and decent. One would hope that a similar performance at home against comfortably mid-table Crawley, rather than away at a Morecambe side who are fighting for automatic promotion, would yield the full three points at home for the first time since we beat Barrow 1-0 on 9th January.
The squad will be free of suspensions, but whether Hart deserves a recall or not is a tricky one as he was out of form before he got sent off. Clifford has however failed to deliver effectively in the last couple of games though so maybe Hart's enthusiasm and fresher legs make him worth a recall.
As far as injuries are concerned, it's too early to know if White's dodgy arm, Macca's dodgy calf, or the tender groins of Olayinka and Akinola will allow them to play a role on Saturday or not. Jacob Mellis was missing with an unspecified injury on Tuesday too, but his involvement so far as been so peripheral that this was inconsequential.
We need a win and so need to score some goals. What team would you pick if you were in
