Cost of living increases

Called in there very early yesterday morning to top-up, still at 172.9p….and also got bonus BP points

That's really good. At the top of my road is the BP down London Road and its been stuck at 193/4 and 198/9 respectively for the past 4/6 weeks. I never use it because it always seems more expensive there but the one down West Street is normally identical too!

But one's more identical than the other.

Strange how some petrol stations are either at 189 or 173. Cost me £10 less to fill up my car than the previous week!

I've never seen such a big difference. Like you say Tesco/Asda are doing it a good 15p cheaper. Normally places down London Road and that are 2/3p more expensive and the difference is minimal but certainly makes a difference!

Passed through Derby last week. Normally the East Midlands is cheaper for everything but ended up paying £1.85 for unleaded at Sainsbury’s by Pride Park.
Pleased to be home!!

Funny that once an investigation is announced, they all start dropping prices.

10% of petrol stations were found not to be ripping us off.

Jet Rochford have always been one of the lowest priced garages. Very surprising BP Toomeys are now so low, in the past they have always one of the most expensive of retailers
Not too long ago we would have considered 166.9p an outrageous price. A diabolical sign of the times i suppose.
