All of those big on Firefox....

2 days ago, there was an update needed for Firefox, so I allowed it to update itself. Followed all the instructions ie restart the computer etc so that the updates will work properly afterwards. When I try and load it again, a messagebox comes up telling me 'The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt to complete. Please restart'. I havent been able to use it since.

Does this mean I have to completely exit the program and re install it on the computer? Sorry but I have no idea.

Hils - the best place for help on Firefox is here!!

If you cannot find your answer then post, a lot of geeks will be very willing to assist you. I would but i am knackered so i am off to bed, if you still have no joy then PM me and i will tell you what to do

Cheers for that link. It's working properly now

My G/F's son did the same thing on ours a few weeks back. I told him to uninstall & reinstall that worked fine

That is usually the way but remember to backup your profile first.

However i wanted Hils to think for herself rather than be spoon fed
