Thank you Anna for all the hard work you put in to help get the club to where it is today .I hope you and your family have a wonderful chrimas And a great new year .
That is very important. There are several people who have been instrumental in helping us to get to this stage. One of whom is Paul FitzGerald, Chairman of the Shrimpers Trust, who has worked quietly, tirelessly and unpaid to help the Club, supporters and the consortium in reaching this welcome position of an ownership change. We must not forget these efforts. Is anyone on these pages now in a position to share the work that got us to this stage?
I think it's important these people are recognised for getting us to this point And I'm not sure people would know of their efforts and what part they played
They can’t ****ing help themselves.Lets not turn this into another politics thread please,
What on earth has he done to deserve that? I think he's fantastic, especially in The King's Speech and Operation Mincemeat.Next season we are definitely going to finish Firth... what an honour to the right honorable lady..
For his participation in The Golden Circle (apart from the Merlin death scene!)What on earth has he done to deserve that? I think he's fantastic, especially in The King's Speech and Operation Mincemeat.
Agree with the last bit, though to be honest perhaps Southend residents should be a bit prouder of its community assets. So well done Anna.As to the politics I have never voted in my life. I’d like to think there are a few good constituent MPs of all persuasions among the current dross. If anyone really thinks this was done for vote winning they’re sadly deluded. I’m guessing 80 percent of the Borough either couldn’t give a toss (or worse) about what happens with the club.
That's going to be tricky: she's an MP.Lets not turn this into another politics thread please,
Be careful what you wish for. That's going to be tricky: she's an MP.
Agree with most and thank her, but judging by comments, IF she did think it might help her come election time, and I'm not for one moment saying that was her motivation, it ain't working.
Please show your workings.just to put you right James duddridge has done a great deal behind the scenes and worked very hard to help to save our club so you best get your facts right before running the man down,
Paul has worked tremendously hard for years, but especially in the last 15 months. He has done more for this club that most fans could possibly comprehend and has played an enormous role in representing the fans with dignity and intelligence when it mattered. That is very important. I agree Paul should get some public recognition, but not sure if a bunch of flowers is appropriate for a gift for a man.
Why not or just give B&Q or similar vouchers? How about some power tools?
