Have a guess....
Well, this will be the last reports from the auspicious offices of ABN Amro, as I'm on 3 weeks gardening leave as of Tuesday. I'll be able to give updates for the next couple of weeks, but then I might be in the same situation as YB and Bucks in needing a scoring bitch.....

Anyway, top-of-the-table clash for me today

Trev's All Stars v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that Trev's All Stars won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI v highton

We can tell you that Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Will v Old Chelmsfordians

We can tell you that Will won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloud day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

DIBS DIPPERS v KFC Select XI

We can tell you that KFC Select XI won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

How unfortunate that your gardening leave coincides with the start of the cricket world cup proper.

Anyway, all the best with a new job.

Looks like I'll be on duty in future then! Good thing the Multiview is running again.

We failed to score in the first two overs but are picking up the pace. With nothing to play for now we've given Cold Rod and Saj another go at opening. My opponent is in 5th and has a decent team, I GFI'd last week and they probably know that so may GFI this week (we're on a TIE).

End of Over 4: 17-0, runrate=4.25
Patterson 2-0-14-0
Sajjad* 7 (12 balls)
Curtis 10 (12 balls)

Well, that worked:

End of Over 6: 21-2, runrate=3.50
Patterson 3-0-15-2
Sajjad* 10 (17 balls)
Askew 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Maymann c. Howard b. Patterson 0 (FOW: 21/2)

Note to self, Cold Rod is definitely not an opener, nor a 3, not even a 4. He's destined to be batting with the tail for the rest of his career!

Could be a quick day.

Yep, I'll be using the 5 remaining games to have a good tinker with positions and settings. Hoping to find a decent use for Mushtaq and Botham's bowling. Not sure whether I want to train Botham another level in bowling but strong is not really good enough for a 5th bowler.

Quality, my mate had his opponent at 13/9 and they're now 50/9!

79/4

Titterton is continuing to be mr consistant but i dont like relying on him and Jackman all the damn time. Set Akram and Hitchman to defensive today - and will be trying it out for a few games to see what impact it has!
