and as for arriving when you really don't want them to.....


Had workmen coming over to day to fit cavity and loft insulation. Now, I also had to pop down to Pontardawe (4 miles away) to put the car in for MOT, but thought I could do this, catch the bus home, and be here at 9, just in case they turned up first thing.

Missed the bus, had to walk, and made it by 9:20 (45 mins, not bad for an ageing fat bloke) They'd already been and gone! Fortunately managed to phone them as I'd only just missed them, but you can bet had I stayed in I'd still be waiting.
