Sad to read that "our kid" Cilla has passed away..She was a good one
Surprise,surprise..

Anyone who had a heart has always been an immense tune, Sheridan Smith's recent portrayal of Cilla returned her to a point of glory that many who only thought of her as a game show host were surprised at. I know she was at home with gay men, I know she was an icon for gay men, but at the bottom of it all, she was a girl who loved her husband and who suffered heart break. RIP Cilla.

Well said OBL, lots of us have grown up with lady, tonight im a bit sad, and for a few days, i dont realy care one way or the other what happens to Southend.

Remember seeing her at the Cliffs Pavillion many years ago when I was young enough to enjoy getting autographs and she certainly signed everything put in front of her with a smile and often a few words. I personally am a bit sad tonight and will be sorely missed many stars and ordinary folk alike. RIP
