They would probably end up back at Birmingham City I'd have thought as not sure Solihull is upto championship standard and has a small capacityI predicted months ago that the sky blues would be needing a new home; and also not to be surprised if the don't end up ground sharing a Solihull.
I wasn't aware of Solihull ground being extended.I read that Solihull were maybe having to leave current home.If they could come to an arrangement Birmingham Citys ground would probably be better option for them I think@tia, i would have agreed last season but new stand along one side is due to open soon which should take them to 10k or so. Maybe the "safe" standing would be an issue and limited away fans.
I wouldn't put it past him. From a financial point it would make sense. He could complete the development and then build the ground or not. Not sure who we would share with though.Hopefully RM dosent follow suit and make us ground share so he can demolish RH and build houses etc to get the money to build FF.
I think the planning consent prevents that. Roots hall cannot be started until new stadium is ready.Hopefully RM dosent follow suit and make us ground share so he can demolish RH and build houses etc to get the money to build FF.
If RM got an agreement with another club to groundshare whilst FF is being built , whats to stop him going back to the Borough Council and saying its a new ground , im sure the Council might agree with him so those houses etc can be built a lot quicker on the RH land.I think the planning consent prevents that. Roots hall cannot be started until new stadium is ready.
Don't know how easy it could be to alter the planning consent
I don't think the condition says we need a new ground. I think (and bare in mind it its like a year or so since I've looked) it says fossets farm stadium. If RM got an agreement with another club to groundshare whilst FF is being built , whats to stop him going back to the Borough Council and saying its a new ground , im sure the Council might agree with him so those houses etc can be built a lot quicker on the RH land.
I found the clause in the Roots Hall planning. Clause (a) has been satisfied. (b) and (c) are still outstanding and will be for another couple of yearsIf RM got an agreement with another club to groundshare whilst FF is being built , whats to stop him going back to the Borough Council and saying its a new ground , im sure the Council might agree with him so those houses etc can be built a lot quicker on the RH land.
