Ticket News Eastleigh FC (A) Saturday 22nd March 3pm

So, looks like theirs about 150 seats left in Block S3. Once all these have sold they will open up the Terrace, you can still go to the Terrace if you have purchased a ticket in Blocks S1, 2 and 3. We just need to make sure they open it. So, if you are waiting for the Terrace to open, perhaps buy in Block S3 to sell those. Not a major price difference between them, but we must get that Terrace opened and ready to rock when Saturday comes. Up the Blues :LoyalSupporter: :LoyalSupporter::LoyalSupporter:👍:Happy:

Eastleigh Football Club would like to provide a further update for both sets of supporters ahead of our Vanarama National League clash against Southend United.

Home supporters should be aware that we expect the South Stand and West Stand to sell-out ahead of matchday following excellent demand for this fixture on Non-League Day.

As a result of this, we encourage supporters to purchase their tickets soon to avoid disappointment, and arrive early on the day to avoid congestion and queues for what we expect to be the busiest game of the season!

Home Terrace tickets are still available to purchase in the East Stand and the North Stand.

Southend United supporters have less than 100 seated tickets remaining of their initial allocation in Block 3 of the South Stand.

To purchase your match tickets, please click here!

Car Parking is available in Lower Hardmoor for both home and away supporters with the main Car Park having sold out to seasonal pass holders.

You can tell I have a day off today, and that the decorating is not holding my full attention....

I was wondering why the numbers for Eastleigh's South Stand (where we are currently selling tickets) didn't add up. The stand is symmetrical - i.e. the same number of seats in the 3 blocks to the left (designated away fans) as in the 3 blocks to the right (designated home fans).

Wikipedia and most online resources give the capacity of the whole South Stand as 2,290, which is what was advised when it was first opened in 2014. That's a much bigger number than I can get from seat plans, and comparing those to photos of the stand just to make sure some rows aren't 'off the grid' a la Roots Hall etc...

Just to make this really easy and illustrate the point, the stand is 149 seats wide by 12 deep. That's 1,788 and more than 500 less than the published figure.

Blocks 1, 2 and 3 (away fans - half the stand) are 74 seats wide in total, and 12 seats deep. That gives 888 before you strip out those lost to stairwells or exits. The total actual seats in A+B+C are 775. Home blocks D+E+F are 75 seats wide by 12 deep, giving 900 before subtracting the 124 seats lost to stairs / exits. Note they nominally have 1 extra seat's width, but it is literally that - one extra seat - right in the centre of the stand. This is no use to them though, as segregation for this match is in block D so they will have 100-150 fewer fans in the South Stand than us on Saturday (assuming they sell out).

Turns out that the stand was refurbished a couple of years back, and they seem to have carelessly lost 500+ seats in the process: https://tssc-eastleighfc.proboards.com/thread/6297/stadium-capacity

So, mystery solved and something to while away a few minutes for any other procrastinators out there today.....

To avoid, take J10 and go down the A3 pick up the M27 and drive to Eastleigh along that.

The A3 is as good as a motorway now, with the Hindhead tunnel, and not so many cameras!
We did that route during the last weekend closure. It was a nightmare, the queue for J10 started just after J9, it took 5 1/2 hours to get down to the New Forest.
If you are planning to use the M25 south, I'd strongly recommend getting off by J9.

I totally agree, the stacking up for the only filter lane off starts way back, not sure of the difference but would it be worth coming off at M23 and then chopping along the A/M27 ?

Mate, get back to your decorating.
You have already wasted far too much of your time.

Yeah, it's definitely something like that - actually, I'm at the very end of a drains-up revamp of my whole home. I'm talking all new radiators, some in different positions / rooms, move the boiler, fix every woodwork or electrical bugbear etc etc..... I've got one toe on the finish line, but you might say the love has died a bit over the many months it's taken!

So, they have opened the Terrace up and it costs more to stand than sit. Those that have waited would be wise to buy their ticket in S3, which is cheaper and then go in the Terrace on the day. Which is what I have done and am sure many others have as well. Good luck and looks like a bumper crowd for Non League Day.
It costs £18 for Home fans to stand in the same stand, but £20 for Away fans, they know we have a big following so they are trying to get as much money as they can. I think their is about 70 odd more tickets left in S3, so as I said earlier buy them and then stand in the Terrace 👍 :LoyalSupporter:
