You have won the FA cup.

Classic.

The bloke that programmed it looked like the Yorkshire ripper though.

Kevin Tomms I believe?

Was a great game tho. Talking of the FA Cup - anyone play "FA CUP" on C64 (i think?). Jeez, worst 'game' ever.

You picked a team and then had to watch the draw for Round 1 of the FA Cup. Then if your team played, you got a result and had to watch the draw for the next round.

As an FA Cup Draw Simulator is was un-parralelled - as a game, utter sh*te....

Christ! How do you find time to eat?

Seriously, I'm pretty sure I'm not old but I did have a Spectrum ZX 128K.

Happily, I managed to move on to a Master System fairly soon after where I could play Sonic the hedgehog rather than have to deal with coding, massive waits and tape read errors whent he damn thing's finally done!

...and yes, I did convince my parents it would be good for school and yes again, my dad didn't have a clue!

Have been really sad and downloaded 180 and Formula One last night, so spent a happy couple of hours using my relatively powerful PC playing Speccy games!

Yea, I used to do that from the C64 mags... my dad used to help me by reading the code out...

"Print sharp 6, semi-colon, inverted comma's... Peek, open bracket 53224 close bracket, colon, return"

Used to take hours and hours, then finally, nervously, type RUN to be greeted with

Why didn't you save the game and then debug it?

that's not how you deal with technology surely.

Take my laptop. It makes a funny noise so I hit it and we get a mutual understanding. It gets cocky, makes more noise so I hit it again. Ad infinitum.

NZ Story was brill, as was the prequel (I believe), Rainbow Islands. Also partial to a few hours of Bubble Bobble too!
