Former journeyman players who added some 'bite'

How do many of these meet the term journeyman ???

Peter Clarke is a journeyman and gives nothing less than 100 percent where ever he has played.

Paul Clark was hardly a journeyman until after he left the club. Fantastic player!

Spinner could be described as a journeyman. What a resigning that was!
 
My use of the word "journeyman" in my original post was based on this definition:

"A journeyman is a sportsman who is technically competent but does not excel", as in the phrase "journeyman professional",

rather than the alternative definition of "a player who has plied his trade at several clubs".

Apologies for the confusion caused.
