Listened to Badly Drawn Boy's soundtrack to the film "About A Boy" over the weekend for the first times in ages. Really enjoyed it and it then got me thinking about other great soundtracks. Here are a few more for you to consider:

"O Brother Where Art Thou" - Various Artists
"Purple Rain" - Prince
"Pulp Fiction" - Various Artisits

Other nominations please....

The Cameron Crowe film Singles (grunge ahoy) and Reality Bites are good 'uns. Slumdog Millionaire is great, and I'm sure some other will come to mind.

All Quentin Tarantino films have awesome soundtracks, but Jackie Brown is particularly awesome.

Empire Records
Lost In Translation

started mine then wandered off so some dupes. Hell yeah to Roy Budd and how come you are the first to mention John Barry - genius.

Tindersticks - not seen any of the films they have scored but all of the soundtracks are beautiful.

Dudley Moore 'Bedazzled' - the line 'you fill me with inertia' is exceptional!
