The best thing is after these 2 extremely tough games our run-in is extremely favourable when compared to others down the bottom.
It is . but being 6 to 9 points behind these are must win games for us..Draws will do them...

After a dozen or so games in this league our confidence was wrecked – we were hitting the woodwork and then conceding goals, luck deserted us, we were losing games we shouldn’t have, every borderline decision seemed to go against us and we all began to believe that every other team was just too good for us and we didn’t belong in this league. We went into games expecting to lose.

If nothing else, this latest run has changed all that and we now know that if given a fair rub of the green we can hold our own, we do belong in this league.

Now let’s prove it.

I think the run-in is crucial. We really should beat the likes of Luton, QPR etc at home.
Further, relegation wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. Not fun obviously but if we go down with a fight then that's football. But to go down as years ago when in the Huddersfield game - last home game and we had to win - the players didn't look as if they cared (1996 I think it was). There's no escaping the fact that two successive promotions is a massive step for any club.

Oh and yes, 3-0 up and concede in the last minute does make me feel grumpy but then again if we won 11-0 I'd be thinking "We should have scored a couple more!"

Reading that again seems to suggest the current players don't care - it wasn't meant to read that way. Sorry, all!

Our 5 wins this season have been against teams currently sitting in the top 9 places in the league & we drew with Preston. We were also robbed at Layabout Road only by Duguid's cheating.

C*l U only have a slightly better away record than us & they're in the play offs

Tilson & Brush are the right people to see us climb the league, they've done it before for us in League 2.

Fellow strugglers Leeds, Barnsley, QPR, Luton, Palace & Leicester have yet to come to the Hall. Survival is in our own hands.

So they will be upset more so when we unleash our mighty power upon them and they are destroyed ! Muahahahahahaha. Or something.

Lets not become greedy now, eh?

Regarding the table, I think we just need to worry about ourselves. We need to win every match were capable of winning, and if we did that, we will start making progress up the table. Help from the teams above beating the other relegation teams would also help us. We need to do our part by winning the matches and then I'm sure the league will sort itself out.

Shame Hull scored two late goals
It was but the fact is it did at least drag QPR further into trouble
Yep thats a consolation.

Shame Col U didnt beat them the other week....
What's that? You want more fairly uninteresting stats?

QPR and Barnsley are 4th and 5th respectively in the league in terms of recovering from a goal down to pick up a point or more. QPR have won 3 and drawn 4 coming from behind (wahey) whilst Barnsely have won 3 and drawn 3.

In contrast, we've only picked up four points coming from behind. Leeds have only managed the feat once for a draw.

Lets hope our strikers will have thier boots on thier right feet when we play Leeds then....

IF we do go down, I personally don't think it'd be catastrophic.

From the current squad, who would be on their way against our wishes? Eastwood, Hammell and possibly Flahavan. It's not as if we'd lose most of the squad and a lot of them left would be very good League 1 players and I'd be quite hopeful of coming back up, much better prepared than this year.

I agree Jay_Shimper, good post.

On the subject of Hull scoring 2 in the last few minutes, it could do us a favour and really put QPR on a bad run, and I can definately see Luton slipping down the table if they don't sign someone decent.
