Internet Connection Failure

I am having no joy with BT Broadband --- it went down last week and we have a new router and loaded disc but can't access t'internet. I am currently on a O2 dongle thing and it's nowhere near as good.
Any clever chap local to Chalkwell Park able to guide me to the promised land ?
 
Is it wireless? If so, right click on computer > properties > device manager > network card > disable wireless network adapter then re-enable it.
