Jake Hyde

Be interesting where he ends up and how many games he plays next season I would think he might get a pay as you play contract.

Jake Hyde is probably one of the most technically gifted players in the National League. He just can’t string enough games together anymore for it to be worthwhile to a club. Such a shame, but we all knew what we were in for when we got him on loan.

I hope we don't go in for him. Far too injury prone. He also has that thing when players get so many injuries and miss so many months, that they're scared to really go for it in a sprint for the ball. Making him look slow. He didn't really blow us away when he did play. So, no thanks. We need a fit, faster and maybe younger strike force.

Oxford have a synthetic surface as do Bromley as do Dorking.
There's three games Hyde would swerve if he were to get interest from an NL club.
Who would sign an injury-prone player from which you only get a maximum 43 games if he were in peak condition throughout?
Part-time might suit him better now.

And I said we got the better end of the Dalby deal.

Be amazed if we try and sign him when we can sign anyone.Unfortunatley for him father time has caught up with him too many injuries he should consider retiring

Reactions: RHB
The irony in all of this was his goal that never was against Wrexham. If that had stood we would have been on the play-off merry-go-round and in FL2 again by now slamming Notts in the final.
Hmm...like every other Zoner I can point you to a half-a-dozen what-ifs? Any three or four would have seen us finish fifth.
Hyde also squandered chances too.
Have asked, maybe, 10 times on SZ how the loan came about? I'll lay a hefty bet it was forced on Kev and co.

I can point me to half a dozen what ifs as well, so you're in good company :Winking: . And without doubt, Kev and co didn't have a choice. My original post was a light hearted ironic throw away.

One of the most technically gifted strikers I've seen in recent years - like MAF, he had a real football brain, and was strong against defenders. If he can get himself properly fit then I can't see him having any trouble finding a club. Onus is on him.
