Wow,you really have got too much time on your hands

There was some interesting names in Floval Flyer's out of contract list, too many to pick from...

But one did stand out, Lyle Della-Verde and not because I think he'd be a good signing but because I think; was it all worth it?

As we've seen Dan Bentley establish himself, Jack Payne improving, and Ted Smith and Jason Williams both make their debut, what part [if any] would he have played if he stayed at Roots Hall?

Had a lot of injuries by all accounts. Maybe we could take him back and it's a win win. We get the sell on fee paid by us back to us.

My list was plagiarised from another site, I have a wife and kids so defo no time on my hands...

it was dated 1st May so should be relatively up to date :-)

Some will.

There's a reason that a Championship club has released them in the first place, they don't deem them good enough for their own squad anymore. If no other Championship clubs are interested in said player or the player thinks he'll play more regularly he might drop down a league.

Most will if the money is good enough, then fail to deliver......just ask BORIENT.

If any were willing to drop down, I'd offer lower basic wages with more bonus clauses.

As there are allegedly a host of Prem clubs looking at Ben Kennedy it would be good to monitor the situation and whoever gets him could be approached about a season long loan. Stepping up to league 1 would benefit him and the parent club.

Scores wherever he goes but can't see Brown touching him with his reported bad attitude.

Agree except that everyone (well, most people) mellow as they get older and wiser. And who knows perhaps even Leon Clarke might be more of a settled individual than he was a few years ago. He must have plenty of money in the bank (unless he has been a silly boy) and so playing first team football (and enjoying it) might be higher up his list of priorities now.

Emile Heskey anyone??...
I personally think he would be a decent signing with plenty of premiership experience and international experience. I no he is often no for missing open goals but if we are winning say 1-0 we should bring him on, he would be very good at holding up the play and defending but then you wouldn't want to pay to much wages for him.

I think if Bentley leaves we should go for Darryl Flavahan he still got it in him and we could probably get him on cheapish wages as he has so much love for the club, as well as having a player/goalkeeper coach

What on earth has that got to do with our strike force?

I'd like Andy Williams. Just been released by Swindon. Very good goalscorer at this level. Brown must have a few targets in mind for corr to sign for Cambridge.

Doubt we can afford him, surely must be a Championship club willing to take him on.

It's difficult to mind read who PB and & co have in mind, but they really must be aiming for players that are on the way up rather than those who have been there and coming down. With Corr still in the frame I sort of had the style of player we needed in mind. Now, I haven't a clue. Whoever we sign must complement the rest of the team supporting them. This of course assumes that no-one else buggers off. (feeling a bit let down at the moment Barry).

Barry Corr is replaceable, we can get someone better in, ideally with pace and movement with a finishing touch up front.
