It might be David James.

I haven’t seen him in HK for a while. He played in my Vets team and is a decent striker. He also mentioned us on TV recently

Sam Ricketts may or may not be another name that could be interested in the Southend job. Ricketts in his first season in management took Wrexham to fourth before being headhunted by Shrewsbury where after a promising start it did not work out for him. Like Barry-Murphy, Ricketts (40) made a promising start to his managerial career and seems highly rated by quite a few people in the football world.
 
I think everyone might be a bit shocked this week.. But honestly, trust the process!
