Do these signings of players to contracts (Auger, Njie and Prosser) count as signings that we're allowed under the embargo?

Auger and Njie might but I doubt Prosser's would as that's essentially an extension.

A few years back I would have scoffed at this, but to be fair to the lad, he seems to have got his head down and worked hard for his place. Seems a good pro and the sort of person we'll need in the camp.

I know there will be lots who are a bit "meh" about this, but to me this is good news. I've rated Prosser all along, and am delighted that he's signed with us for another 2 years.

Me too, hugely underrated. I'd even be tempted to give him the armband.

I wondered what you meant for a while. I had a picture of Prosser learning to swim/half drowning before you threw him an armband to keep him afloat. I certainly would have waited until he was getting pretty desperate .......:omg:

Don't think I can remember a player who has turned their reputation with the fans here around as much as LP has (possibly Maher would be comparable). He was as slated as anyone ever has been on here when he first joined, but now it seems the majority of supporters think a lot of him.

Personally I've never seen him have a really bad game (i never saw his first few I must admit), and he seems to love the club which always helps! Glad he's staying.

According to some on here, the fact that he turned down our initial offer meant:
- we're a laughing stock
- we couldn't even afford Prosser
- none of the other players would be staying
- no other players would want to play for us
- we need to go into administration or be wound up.

Instead it turns out that we improved our initial offer a bit, he lowered his expectations a bit, and we negotiated a contract to retain the services of a decent enough player for 2 years.
