Is ranger likely to have an electronic tag? If yes , How does that work for matches and curfew on evening matches and away games where we stay overnight? I am guessing that might take some time to set up ( although I'm not suggesting it's why he is not yet out).

Read an article only last week ,when Jamie Vardy was non league and had a curfew for his punishment, his parents had the car ready at 5 pm in order to get him home before 6 pm, wouldn't fancy that on a saturday A127 or A 13

As much as that, that's 200 mojo's

I can't believe for one second we're still not paying him. His agent must have stipulated a clause in his contract that if he were to go down, we'd still be paying him.

Why would we agree to that! I very much doubt Ron would be that naïve

you'd think with this being about his 5th last chance, and with the club entering into a 3 1/2 year? deal, then all the sway would be in the club's favour. i'd imagine the club could probably already walk away without paying him another penny due to breach of a condition or clause, but they seem to be sticking by him for now.

Why would we agree to a 3 half year contract knowing that the guy is unable to keep his nose clean in life?

If he ends up in further trouble he can be sacked.

If he comes out and gets back to the same form before his suspension and then injury then the club could sell him and make a tidy profit. If he improves on that form, which I believe he can then the club will hugely benefit not just in the games he plays but from a hefty transfer fee.

A bit like going to the casino and putting a 50/50 bet on red or black. The difference is if you win you get 4 times your stake and if you lose then you get your money back. I see that as a very good deal........I'm in.

Really!

It's 50/50. So you get back exactly what you stake!

I suspect the club would have had the opportunity to walk away from his contract, but that has probably now been and gone.

The unknown is how his reappearance will go down in the dressing room. This will probably be less of a moral issue but more about him being half-fit and his attitude to training.

Committing a criminal offense would easily class as gross misconduct so if the club had wanted to sack him they could have. They may have put him on a final written warning instead saying any further offense will lead to dismissal. The chances of him having any legal redress is tiny in my opinion (I am an HR person).
In fact they could have argued that being in prison means he couldn't train and missed pre-season thereby frustrating his contract - again they could walk away without compensation in that event.
So I think we can conclude they think he is worth the risk but I would guess he is on a final warning.

That's why we allegedly have clauses in the contract where we can choose to cancel if he doesn't keep his nose clean. Rigsby has pretty much explained it isn't much of gamble and I've been led to believe by reliable sources that what Rigsby is saying is correct.

Not in the football world. If we pay out £150,000 in wages over the next year and he has an average season we could sell him for £600,000 that's 4 times your outlay. If he has a good couple of seasons then we could be looking at £1.5m+

We certainly had our money's worth last season even with injuries that were nothing to do with fitness or attitude towards training. He was vital in that unbeaten run before Christmas.

Red or black isn't a 50% bet.

The zero is green and American wheels have two green numbers 0 and 00.

Therefore you have a slightly less than 50% chance on a red/black bet which in the long run favours the house.

Ignorance about probability pays for fake pyramids and Eiffel towers in Las Vegas.

Sorry I do apologise.

If any of you are now off to the casino on account of my post please be advised its actually only 18/37ths if you put money on Red or Black. I would hate to think any off you end up doing a Dave Penny because of my ignorant advice.

Last Season Nile come in on the 0, so lets hope its red this term and we will be in the Championship.

Would you employ him if it were your own company knowing his background? :nope:

I am currently partners in a new adventure (small scale) with someone who has been to prison. As a person he is honest and hard working. He regrets what he did and would turn the clock back if he could as it cost him his business, his marriage and has somewhat spoilt his relationship with his daughters.

The one thing that did save him from oblivion was work because was able to continue as self employed builder.

About 20 years ago I did have a 16 year old work for me who made Nile's record look tame. I only did it as a favour for his desperate family as I knew his uncle. I'm no psychologist but certain people aren't suited for a school environment. I found this lad responded well to working on a building site with adult men and some decent role models (we weren't all angels). Living in Southend away from his bad influences in London he became a man and ended up living in France and doing ok for himself.

A plus side for me is I have since bought several cars and vans from the same uncle who always does me a great deal as he appreciates the fact I made an effort when others gave up.
