Nope. Didn't agree with the armed forces one either so didn't clap. Would've clapped for the first and Second World War people but they lump all the other wars in which were not about the defence of my family.

what about the current conflict then? are they not fighting a war to make this country a safer place? I dont necessarily agree with the situations our givernment get involved in, but i will support our heros past and present that have put their lives on the line for our nation. There are many southend fans in the armed forces in Afghanistan and other areas of the world. I am staggered by your response!

Silence for the armed forces is in respect of our troops sent to fight where there are told to its totally different from celebrating an individual who orchestrated and planned bombings that killed innocent while and black Africans

Scott you can't have your cake and eat it on this one. Not sure why you opened your mouth in the first place?

Whilst this is a hugely emotive and debatable topic there is no need for there to be two so Ill close this one as its just the same discussion now.

How can you even mention Mandela and this guy in the same conversation. Im afraid you have missed the point of the minutes silence and what this man has achieved in his and our life time. If you dont want to applaud tomorrow then dont. But do not boo, that is not clever.

I'm afraid you've missed the point I was getting at!
