I think the view was that constant and ongoing discussion of an embargo when there isn’t an embargo was an annoying distraction. Discussion of pay issues is one thing, but constant banging on about a non-existent embargo needs to stop now as it’s bollocks, basically.

Bollocks was seen as not being too offensive. As explained, embargo is on the list for different reasons. Also you won’t have seen all the nonsense the mods have had to remove around an embargo, so you’ll just have to trust us I‘m afraid.

Or, you could be a little less sarcastic and recognise that we are a small team of volunteers who give up shedloads of time (and money) to create (in some of our cases) this site, run it and make it a decent place for people to come to. If we feel there is justification to moderate certain things that would seem to be perfectly reasonable, to me.

Purely as a matter of interest, many years ago when I had what I term as a proper job, I was a General Sales Manager for a certain soft drinks company based in Somerset. We produced fruit juices and juice drinks, one of which was the well known "they drink it in the Congo" drink.
Seem to remember that my team and I sold quite a bit of it!

Thanks E4B. If you could similarly update on Friday, when pay is due again, that would be really helpful - and hopefully a big relief for all concerned.

Hopefully, someone will be able to provide an update as requested . Wednesday 20th July is an important date in the month . A group of club sponsors are meeting to decide on what action , if any , needs to be taken by ourselves to sort this very important matter out .

From what I understand they received balance of May Salaries at beginning of July just waiting for June's to be paid now

Certainly very strange how we seem to be able to bring in a new academy manager, numerous new players, and spend £2m on training pitches, but can't raise the money to pay a few backroom staff members. It can't be fortune in the big scheme of things.

I don't think the club would be responsible for paying for the training pitches. I would have thought this would be down to the development company.

It has been mentioned further up this thread that a group of the club's sponsors will be meeting next week to discuss the late payment of wages issue. That could be very interesting.

I know it might be detrimental to our signings but I hope they take a hardline stance and say "pay everyone or we walk", I want us to do well but not at the expense of people that work for us.

The post I was talking about is number 271 above. I have tried to copy it properly, but for whatever reason it is not working. Anyway, the post reads as follows:

I have read this several times and I wonder if it might mean that they could perhaps offer some further support rather than an ultimatum. I guess we won't know until they have met and discussed it. What is a bit clearer is that they would be looking for a way for this to be resolved. It can't be good for their images to be sponsoring a club which treats it's employees so badly.

I am in 100% agreement with your statement about wanting the club to do well but certainly not at the expense of it's employees,
